I am excited because last week we had the first soft-launch of our LifeNOW Gatherings. For those who were not there, you can read my last blog post to learn what LifeNOW is all about. And although the jury is still out on whether or not we will make the impact I am envisioning, the really exciting part is what I am going to teach next at our LifeNOW Gathering this week.
It’s so exciting to me I have decided to leapfrog what has been swirling in my head to be the next book we release. It was between this and a book project I had entitled, Trusting the Invisible, Living the Impossible. And although it is a real cool title, what I am thinking about now will have just as big of an impact.
Last week I made a bit of a rash claim, while standing on my soapbox ranting and raving, that if I wanted to get people giving more to rescue lives, I would have to teach everybody how to make or save more to give in the first place. I have been really wracking my brain on how to fulfill this promise. The strategy model on your left is what has surfaced from the deep simmering catacombs of my chaotic innermost being.
What I am going to teach with this strategy falls under our “My Perfect Economy” (MYPE) banner. I had let the MYPE project sort of trail off for various reasons, but mainly because I felt it was unfocused and could become a distraction to the momentum we were gaining in Re:LIFE. However, it’s been in the last 24 hours that MYPE in my heart has been reborn with a few upgrades and twists.
The first twist is found in the title of this post: Triple the Value of Your Money Through the Strategy of Giving. I figure everybody is interested in how to increase the value of their money, but doing this through a strategy of giving may seem a bit like a paradox. I can attest it is possible but I have good news and bad news.
The good news is giving is the new getting.
The bad news is you have to give FIRST and trust for the getting later.
But the best news is it does work and we now have a simple process to get it working for anybody, no matter how big or little their giving is.
The second twist, one many of you already know, is that Re:LIFE will officially become part of a non-profit organization soon thanks to some key strategic alliances through Impact Nations and Canada Helps. This means that all financial management and spending will be overseen by a non-profit board. This also means the Re:LIFE group will have the utmost in integrity as an organization that serves humanity.
The final twist is we have already had a donor step up to the plate and ensure that we can now give away all Re:LIFE coaching materials for FREE. All we will be asking is that just give what they can and from the heart to rescue lives around the world. You’ll be hearing more about this in the new year.
So here is the sneak preview and if you are planning to join us for a Village, get ready to really rock the giving in 2010! And if you can’t make it, don’t worry, the book and more will be done soon enough!

Interesting tweak there Ed, changing calling into generosity. I can see enough similarities there that it doesn’t totally change my understanding. How did Social Capital get that name? It seems to me that this is where one gets to do things and give to the world, which can be money, time, energy or something else.
My other big question was how quickly or not can one go through the cycle that seems to be implied by the triangle? While one reaps what they sow, there isn’t just a one time sowing to life, is there? Not that I’m trying to downplay giving, just that there can be some skepticism to this process and that I would think in the course of one’s life they go through this over and over many times trying to improve Life in the world. While I can be impatient at times, sometimes the best things in life take time to achieve, like a university degree which is one of my proudest accomplishments in my life.

Actually I think I am going to keep “Your Calling”. Too lazy to update it here. Hahah!
The cycle in my experience can be completed literally in 24 hours with major returns sometimes. It all depends on how good of a steward you are in all areas and whether your motivations are truly Life-Based.
I look forward to seeing you try this JB!
