On Staurday March 27, we organized a special social project and invited people to come and ride a scooter for Haiti relief. For every new rider we donated $10. We had 29 people come out and many of them gave out of their own pockets. In total we are able to give $410 which stretches a very long way in the devestated nation.
So THANK-YOU. And a big thank-you to the Calgary Outdoor Club for participating in our promotions as well. (“Outdoor” Phil and Ken, you guys rock!)
We will be doing more social projects like this with scooters and eventually MOTORCYCLES!
For those of you who joined us for the “Desire to Destiny” event you met our partners Steve and Christina Stewart, founders of Impact Nations. They shared a wonderful message about building bridges to rescue lives. Christina also shared firsthand pictures of her experience in the Haiti earthquake.
In June, we will be sending a team on a “Journey of Compassion” to Haiti in conjunction with Impact Nations, to do medical clinics, feeding centres and other relief projects such as clearing rubble out of the roads and people’s homes. The Impact Team has been to Haiti two more times since the quake. Impact Nations actually had a scouting team the day BEFORE the earthquake hit and our beloved friends Christina and Adam thankfully made it out alive.
At this moment, Impact Nations is supporting a relief project that feeds 1,200 people a day. All donations go direct to the front lines and make an immediate impact. If you would like to find out more how to support us and any of our social projects please drop us a line.
And THANKS again, for all your support.
